'Salir no Tempo' 2022 edition

On 22, 23 and 24 July, the hill town of Salir will host another edition of the “Salir no Tempo” event, this time honouring the Roman era. The presence of this people in the borough of Loulé is most notable in the coastal areas of Quarteira and Almancil, such as the Cerro da Vila in Vilamoura and the villae in Loulé Velho, Quinta do Lago or Salgados. However, as we shall see, traces of this era can also be found in inland areas.

“Salir no Tempo” offers a wide variety of entertainment, ranging from music shows to dance and performing arts. Roman gastronomy will have a prominent place, being present in the various street food stalls and local establishments. At the market, you will be able to find handmade products and those allusive to the subsistence of the time.

The organisation takes the experience one step further, opening up the possibility for visitors to rent period clothes and accessories, immersing themselves in this historic atmosphere. This event aims to highlight the historical and cultural importance of the municipality, promoting interest in the inland territories. Due to its educational component, it is undoubtedly a great programme for kids and adults alike!
