Do you know the concept of Creative Tourism?
"It is tourism that offers visitors the opportunity to develop their creative potential through active participation in courses and learning experiences that are characteristic of the holiday destination where they are."
In essence, it is tourism that values unique experiences, shared with local people, involving learning and engagement with the culture of the region.
With the aim of investing in Creative Tourism in the Algarve, the ALGARVE CRAFT & FOOD project - Create | Experience | Internationalize was born, promoted in partnership by the Algarve Tourism Region, the Tertúlia Algarvia, and the QRER Cooperative.
The objective is the "active exchange between local communities and visitors through artistic, creative, and gastronomic activities," aligning with the "new dynamics of socially and environmentally responsible tourism, optimizing and valuing the resources of the region."
This project will go through several phases, culminating in the creation of 10 creative tourism programs by the summer of 2023 and an international promotion campaign, helping to showcase this specific tourism segment in the Algarve.
