Study analyzes impact of tourism on Algarve residents

Algarve residents have a positive opinion regarding their interaction with tourists in the region and view the growth in the number of visitors to their municipality positively. This was the conclusion drawn from a three-year study conducted by the University of Algarve, aiming to analyze the attitudes and behaviors of residents towards tourism activity in the Algarve.

The study was based on two projects, RESTUR and TurExperience, funded by FEDER/Portugal 2020/Operational Program for the Algarve CRESC Algarve 2020. It concludes with a public presentation to tourism agents in the region, who will learn about the impacts of tourism on Algarve residents and the images tourists associate with the Southern region of the country.

The results will be presented on February 15 at 2:30 PM in the auditorium of the Algarve Tourism Region.
